Auditions Extended!

Godspell was the first major musical theatre offering from three-time Grammy and Academy Award winner, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Children of Eden); and it took the world by storm. Led by the international hit, "Day by Day," Godspell features a parade of beloved songs, including "Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord," "Learn Your Lessons Well," "All for the Best," "All Good Gifts," "Turn Back, O Man" and "By My Side."

A small group of people help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and a hefty dose of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus' life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus' messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life.

Sam has been constantly involved in the performing arts ever since he was a child. It began when he got his hands on his first piano, & from the start he was creating music and pursuing a burning passion to share his gifts.

Sam continues teaching as an instructor at Cross Movement Dance (since 2018) and has appeared in multiple shows with Lexington Youth Theatre either as cast, crew or assistant choreographer.  Sam has also co-directed/directed  musicals and plays at his home church Meadowview Reformed Presbyterian Church where he is also heavily involved with the praise and worship team.

More recently Sam has also begun actively pursuing a career in music, venturing out to perform his original songs and covers at different music venues throughout the Triad.

Sam is absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to get back into musical theatre as the Assistant Choreographer & Dance Captain contributing to the creative team at Lexington Live, using his gifts to help tell a wonderful story
