Sister Act is a musical based on the hit 1992 film of the same name with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Glenn Slater, book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner, and additional material by Douglas Carter Beane.

Deloris Van Cartier, a famous disco singer, is put into witness protection in a convent. While struggling through the restrictions of her new lifestyle, she finds comfort in the church's choir and while there ends up inspiring the church and community.
